The year was 1967 and Felix Cavaliere and Eddie Brigati were enjoying their success as leaders of a hot new band out of New York City. The only downside was they were working so hard and so long they didn’t get much of an opportunity to get together with their girlfriends. However, there was at least one day a week that they could relax and make time to make time. And that is the subject of the song which rose to the top of the charts on May 20, 1967 for the Rascals… “Groovin’”
