The 101 number one song of the day would become the first of many number one hits in England for its singer. In fact, he would total up 17 charttoppers in that country despite NEVER touring there. His many fans always held out hope that he would but his manager – Andreas Cornelis van Kuijk – was born in Holland. Although he lived in the U.S. for many years, he never became an American citizen and was worried if he traveled abroad with his famous client, he might not be let back in the states. So he never booked any concerts outside the U.S. But this was still early on in the career managed by the man who by this time was known as Colonel Parker and the song that was number one on April 13, 1957 – “All Shook Up”
