On this day in 1852, Henry and Clement Studebaker founded a blacksmithing and wagon building company -- over the next hundred years, Studebaker became one of the world’s biggest manufacturers of horse-drawn carriages, automobiles and airplanes.
A variety series debuted on television 37 years ago tonight -- it lasted only one season, and was Cher's first show without Sonny.
