And coming in at Number One is…

Franklin D. Roosevelt is ranked the top president in U. S. history by 238 scholars surveyed by Siena College. Roosevelt has topped each of the five presidential scholar surveys conducted by the college since 1982. Scholars ranked the 43 presidents on attributes such as integrity, intelligence, leadership and communication, as well as their accomplishments.

And why is this man looking so glum?

That’s Andrew Johnson who has been rated the worst President of all time.  He succeeded Abe Lincoln who is number three on the list.  For the complete list go to:

The 101 number one song of the day was the product of a Canadian who wrote his first song simply because he figured if other people could do it, so could he.  Although the thought didn’t even occur to him until he was about 17. He showed some musical talent when he was quite a bit younger and at 11 he was asked by his school principal to sing over the PA system. But when he heard Bob Dylan he was really hooked. Dylan, he said, “was moving into musical areas where angels feared to tread…getting into areas that no one had ever explored.” Eventually he developed his own style and started churning out songs at a rate of about one a day. On July 3rd, 1974 one of those songs was number one in America and it is today’s 101 number one song of the day for Gordon Lightfoot – “Sundown”
