And wouldn’t you just love a cute little puppy like this?

She is available for adoption (the dog) at the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley.  And so are her four siblings.

The 101 Number One Song of the Day travelled a tough road to the top. Its creators had been disappointed with the response they got from a record exec for Australia and New Zealand who wrote, “You’ve sent us quite a few records and this is the worst one you’ve sent us yet.  It was written by a couple of Brits who got their inspiration from the American Civil War. It in turn inspired a battle of the bands. One of those bands, Paper Lace, which had success with the song “The Night Chicago Died” recorded it about the same time as the band you’re about to hear. Paper Lace peaked at number 96 but by this week in 1974, a group that had gained a national following thanks to Dick Clark’s Action ’73 TV show was at number one: Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods (Billy, Don’t Be a Hero)
