Lt. Col. Andy Taylor paid us a visit today.  His main job is ROTC Commander at NMSU but today he was talking dancing.

He and his Dance Sport partner, Stephanie Koch, are looking forward to participating in Look Who’s Dancing on the 16th.  We’ll be there.  Will you?

Your 101 Number One Song of the Day was the brainchild of a producer – it was a TV producer, not a record producer, who thought it was a great idea. The person who actually recorded the song thought it was a lousy idea and was terrified at the prospect of going into the studio.  She was one of the stars of a popular TV show and the producer was her boss. She said she could act but couldn’t sing but he made sure she was backed up by some real pros including Darlene Love and Glen Campbell. The result was a song that America loved so much it arrived at the very top of the charts on April 7, 1962 for Mary Stone of the Donna Reed Show. Her real name: Shelley Fabares (Johnny Angel)
