History 101:  November 11th, 1918: The fighting in WWI came to an end with the signing of an armistice between the Allies and Germany.

The 101 Number One Song of the day was the fifth and final number one song for a 70’s super group that began as a backup band for Linda Ronstadt who kept their vow to quit while they were on top. One of the founding members was quoted as saying that he knew the band was over halfway through the recording of the album which produced today’s featured single. He went on to say, “I started the band, I got tired of it and I quit.” No wonder he and his other bandmates grew tired. They began recording the album in 1977 and it wasn’t completed until two years later but once it was, today’s song moved faster than any of their previous singles up the charts and on November 11^th, 1979 it was number one – for the Eagles – “Heartache Tonight.”

Other stuff:

101 Gold Nugget of Knowledge: Customers in England were complaining that they were being overcharged for produce at a local grocery store. An investigation turned up the problem. The cashier weighing the produce had her breasts resting on the scale along with the items. Customers were being charged double for some items.

Reggie Jackson told TMZ this week – that while playing for the New York Yankees…he once pooped his pants while playing in the outfield.

-Sounds like Mr. October…needed Mr. Whipple.  -Was that TMZ…or TMI – ‘too much information’?

Now flight attendant unions are getting into the fight over invasive airport pat downs. The deal is now…if you refuse to go through the new full-body x-ray machines at airport security – you have to undergo an ‘enhanced’ pat down procedure. And there have been a lot of complaints about TSA agents fondling and groping passengers. Apparently it’s happening to pilots and flight crews too – and the unions are stepping in.

If there is a pat down, it has to be an agent of the same sex.  Obviously women have a different view on this but is that supposed to make a man feel better – knowing it’s a guy with a his hand in your crotch?

A doctor says if you have a forgetful moment – it doesn’t mean you’re on your way to developing Alzheimer’s. Dr. Cynthia Green has a new book out called ‘Brainpower Game Plan’ on how to boost your memory and age-proof your brain. She says most memory lapses are normal. Some people call them ‘senior moments’…’brain cramps’ or ‘brain farts’ - but she says we all have them. Some of the most common brain cramps are ‘Where did I park?’, ‘What did I come in this room for?’, ‘What’s your name again?’ and, ‘It was just on the tip of my tongue.’ She says one of the tips when you hit one of these memory lapses…is to stop multitasking…close your eyes…and concentrate.
