Although you’re more likely to need one on Sunday than today but even then there’s only a 10% chance.
It’s also National Stop Bullying Day. The first day of National Stop Bullying Week, a time for schools to conduct classes on how to stop bullying in schools and neighborhoods.
Meet Dexter -
He’s a mix of several breeds but it would seem he got the best qualities of each. He’s already neutered and ready to go. The question is where. He’s been at the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley for close to a year. That’s too long especially for a dog this well behaved and loving. Would you consider bringing him into your heart and home? There’s a special Valentine’s Day special this week: Adoptions are $14!

1933: The Postal Telegraph Company of New York City delivered history’s first "singing" telegram.
BTW, Your 101 Gold Nugget of Knowledge this morning was about a singing telegram delivered with a bouquet of what?
Yup, that their slogan.
The 101 number one song of the day comes from a man whose career has gone full circle from gospel singer to sex symbol and back to the gospel – this time preaching it. (find out who next) He was born in Arkansas and began singing gospel music when he was nine after his family moved to Grand Rapids, MI. Later, a record company A & R man tried to get him to come to Memphis to record for his label but he said he didn’t like Memphis. Eventually, he changed his mind and later moved there where he became an ordained minister preaching the gospel at the city’s Full Tabernacle Church. But before that, he recorded a string of hits culminating with today’s 101 number one song of the day which topped the charts on February 10, 1972. At the time he was considered the 70’s sexiest soul singer. Later he returned to the recording studio and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992. From gospel to R&B to gospel and back to R&B – Here’s Al Green’s biggest hit – Let’s Stay Together…
