dog ronnie

She arrived at the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley with her left hind leg so badly injured that it had to be amputated.  She adapted quickly and gets around very well.  What she needs is a good home.  If you think you have that home please contact the ASCMV at (575) 382-0018.

The 101 Number one song of the day was the most successful instrumental single of the rock era and it was the number one song of the entire year that it was released. And it all started with a tragic accident.  The man who produced the record was a piano prodigy having given his first concert recital at the age of 15. Three years later, with a successful professional concert career all but guaranteed, he was at home when his sister’s clothes caught on fire. He managed to put out the flames with his hands. But his burns were so severe, he was told he could not play the piano for at least five years. He then turned to composing and conducting music and eventually moved to Hollywood where he became an arranger of musical scores for the movies. On February 25th, 1960 he and his orchestra owned the number one record in America – it was the theme for a movie considered pretty steamy back in those days but the song was so hot it stayed at the top for nine weeks – the Theme from “A Summer Place” by Percy Faith.
