speaking of pets, check out this guy:

dog tinny

Tinny is a 3 year old male mix breed with a “cuddle” temperament.  He likes to be held.  He’s missing an eye but that doesn’t seem to bother him.  Do you know of somebody who can provide him with a loving home?  He’s at the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley.

History 101: January 14, 1954: Actress Marilyn Monroe married Mr. Coffee, baseball legend Joe DiMaggio, in San Francisco. The marriage lasted nine months.

David Bowie.

The 101 number one song of the day was a landmark song in several ways and it hits very close to home.  It was the first number one song of the sixties, it also topped the country charts and became the first country song to win a Grammy. It was also the longest song – to date – to go to number one. It’s a song about a place – a place, according to the singer and songwriter where the west begins, a place he hadn’t visited but was always fascinated by. It’s a place not very far away and it was the number one song on January 14th 1960 for Marty Robbins (El Paso)

Other stuff:

The hot new ‘must-have’ fashion item for 2011 – Pajama Jeans! The sweatpants-jeans hybrid is selling like crazy thanks to its infomercials. They’re sweat-pants type material…but made to look like jeans. In fact, the commercial says they’re ‘…jeans so comfortable, you’ll want to sleep in them!’ A top fashion stylist in Hollywood calls them the ‘next level in lazy fashion.’

Here’s another reason to eat your veggies. A new study published in the journal Evolution & Human Behavior found some vegetables are loaded with a nutrient that gives eaters a healthy glow and makes them appear more attractive. They say the glow created by the nutrient is similar to a suntan…only more healthy-looking and more attractive.

-And according to Dad…they’ll also put hair on your chest.

Mark Harmon is America’s favorite TV star, according to a recent Harris Poll. The “NCIS” star jumped seven spots from last year to beat out the reigning No. 1, Oprah Winfrey, who now ties at No. 2 with “House’s” Hugh Laurie.
