101 Gold Nugget of Knowledge: A North Texas strip club manager is looking to hire at least 100 more strippers to fill what he calls an exotic dancer shortage plaguing Dallas-Fort Worth because of the upcoming Super Bowl XLV. John Walsh, who manages Showtime Cabaret in Kennedale, said he currently employs 50 dancers but needs as many as 70 more, according to TMZ. Walsh made up fliers promising new dancers big money in a clean club near big Super Bowl events. Walsh says he’s not the only understaffed exotic club in the area. In fact, he said, the area’s 60 or so adult establishments are short a total of 10,000 exotic dancers. Arlington city officials said they expect to host 300,000 visitors during Super Bowl weekend.
Two men were arrested Monday after police said they invaded a St. Cloud, Florida, home and took a 7-year-old’s Beanie Babies and nine Nintendo games, a cell phone, and 13 AA batteries from the homeowner. Sean Knapp and Scott Napolillo, both 18, told police they went to the home to collect a debt. Napolillo threatened to stab the victim if he didn’t pay the $130, according to police. When the victim said he didn’t have the money, Napolillo forced his way into the house and told the victim that if he tried to run a friend known as the “Marlboro Man” was waiting outside. After packing the items into a black bag, Napolillo left, telling the victim he would come and kill him if the police were called. The men fled on bicycles, but a police officer said he recognized Napolillo as a wanted suspect in several burglaries and followed the men. The officer stopped them for riding against traffic after they cut off a car. Both men are facing charges of home invasion robbery, aggravated assault and false imprisonment.
An aspiring actress who kissed Elvis Presley in “Loving You” and then dropped out of Hollywood has been traced to a remote Connecticut abbey, where she has been a nun for almost 50 years. Entertainment Weekly reporter Thom Geier launched a bid to track down Dolores Hart last year and found her at the Abbey of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem, where she is now known as Mother Dolores. After kissing Elvis in the 1957 film and making a name for herself opposite stars like Anthony Quinn and Montgomery Clift, the then 24-year-old decided Hollywood wasn’t for her. She checked into the abbey after attending the premiere of “Come Fly With Me” in 1963. The 72-year-old nun’s only links to Hollywood these days come once a year when she votes for the Academy Awards after becoming an Academy member in 1960.
What Does Your Zodiac Sign Say About Your Driving?
Virgos, known to be critical, meticulous and reserved, are also more likely to get into a car accident, according to Allstate Insurance, which compared claims data against the recently “revised” zodiac calendar. Over the past year, Virgos were nearly 700% more likely to be in a car accident when compared to the determined and aware Scorpio, the best drivers in the study. Perhaps a Virgo’s shy, perfectionist nature leads to overly cautious and timid driving habits. By contrast, Scorpios were only involved in 1.5% of all accidents in 2010. The “new” sign, Ophiuchus, were the second-safest drivers on the road. While the jury is still out on the exact characteristics of an Ophiuchus, most astrologers seem to indicate individuals born under this sign will be a bit luckier than the rest. Here is a breakdown by Zodiac sign of the best and worst drivers on the road.
