a favorite observance of couch potatoes everywhere.
When the 101 number one song of the day got to the top, the group became the first artists of the rock era to have their first three chart releases reach number one. The song listed its writing and production credits as “The Corporation” rather than give the actual people individual credit. That was most likely due to the bitterness involved in the recent split with superstar writers and producers Holland Dozier Holland. Berry Gordy, Jr. didn’t want anybody getting too big for their britches although the diminutive lead singer in question here today was getting bigger by the hit. The number one song on this day – June 29, 1970 belonged to the Jackson Five – “The Love You Save”

You can lose weight if you answer yes to this question -
A recent study conducted at the University of Minnesota began by breeding two colonies of rats: one prone to obesity, and one resistant to obesity. In the course of the study, the scientists determined that the obese rats were generally more stationary than their obesity-resistant counterparts. This, researchers say, shows a biological predisposition for overweight individuals to conserve energy by not moving around much. The couch potato factor. (see above)
So, what does this mean for the average overweight person who wishes to lose weight? They should fidget more!
It is true that it takes more effort and more calories for an overweight person to make even a small movement, than it does for a thin person. Since normal weight individuals are more prone to fidgeting, this means that overweight people must make a conscious effort to fidget more.
Ways to Increase Fidgeting:
1) Bounce your legs up and down while sitting.
2) Drum on a tabletop or your legs with your hands.
3) Play with a pen or pencil.
4) Hold your coffee cup instead of putting it down.
5) Bob your head to music.

Asbury Park, New Jersey was once one of the top seaside resorts on the east coast. But not so much anymore. So the city council there is considering allowing women to go topless at the beach. And not just at some secluded beach – the whole boardwalk area of town would allow topless women. Vendors and life-guards were at a council meeting to argue that might drive families away from the beach. -Of course…Dad…would like a minute to rebut.
